I considered them as the hero of every countryman, they serves as a lot of effort just to defend the country and now they need our assistance just to donate car to charity for them to use in whatever purpose they want.

More red meat consumed higher breast cancer risk

Pre-menopausal women who consume one-and-a-half servings of red meat daily are twice more likely develop breast cancer than women who eat three servings or less per week, according to a study published in the November 2006 edition of the Archives of Internal Medicine.

Researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School analyzed data of more than 90,000 women aged 26 to 46. The participants were evaluated on their red meat intake using the food frequency questionnaire. The survey was administered in 1991, 1995 and 1999. The respondents were followed up through 2003. During the 12- year period, an updating on who among the subjects developed breast cancer was done every two years.

Results of the study reveal that 1,021 women have developed breast cancer. Of these, 512 are estrogen and progesterone receptor positive, 167 are estrogen and progesterone receptor negative, 110 mixed and 232 unknowns.
Heavy red meat intake is associated with increased risk with breast cancers that are estrogen and progesterone receptor positive, but not with the estrogen and progesterone receptor negative.

Samsung introduces LED monitors

A few years back, we were using TFT monitors with big vacuum tubes at their back similar to that of our bad old televisions. Then these kind of monitors were eventually replaced by LCD technology and plasma technology which eventually made the display unit vision friendly as it does not affect our eyes like that of TFT ones. But presently, Samsung has introduced its LED backlighting system which makes the monitor to be ultra thin and it never causes any problem to our eyes even when we sit in front of it for hours together. The monitor’s thickness is less than 1.5 inches and hence it looks to be the best. Its neck is made to be transparent and so its glossy looks are eye catching. This LED lighting technology makes the backlight to be less bright and hence can give the best picture clarity even when the monitor’s brightness is kept low. This Samsung’s new product will be soon out in the market and its cost is expected to be a little higher than that of LCD ones.
