Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

The Bluetooth specification embraces link layer, radio frequency and application layer. The product developers for data, voice and content-centric applications are defined using Bluetooth. The specification contains the data necessary to ensure the diverse devices. The Bluetooth wireless technology can be connected with each other network worldwide. These specifications are divided into two parts. They are Core and Profiles. The Core part specifies components such as the radio, base band, link manager, service discovery protocol, transport layer, and interoperability with different communication protocols. The Profiles part specifies the protocols and procedures required for different types of Bluetooth applications. The Bluetooth data channel randomly hops 1,600 times per second between 79 RF channels. Each Bluetooth channel is divided into time slots, with each one being 625 microseconds long. There are two types of data transfer between devices .There are synchronous connection oriented and asynchronous connectionless. Bluetooth Pico net has a master and maximum seven slaves. The master will transmit in even time slots, while the slaves will transmit in odd time slots.

Innovative Mouse’s

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

When it comes to computer equipment, there is a lot of innovation as this industry is constantly changing. A good example is Thanko, a Japanese company that creates very innovative products. For example, they created a Thanko mouse that is completely silent. It produces no click sounds whatsoever, which means that even if there are a few people in the room constantly clicking, there will not be any noise. Some time ago, Thanko has developed a cleaner mouse that can suck all the dirt and dust from a keyboard and desk. Taking into account that your computer desk can get quite dirty, having a small vacuum that can clean instantly any dust is quite useful. On the other hand, I wonder how many people will actually decide to buy such device. When it comes to the silent mouse, I believe that it is very useful to people who get annoyed by constant clicking. I do not think that the cleaner mouse will be as popular; however, you have to agree that this is definitely an innovative solution. These days there are not that many innovative mouses, but that is slowly changing. The bigger diversity of products, the better it is for regular consumers so I am happy with the turn of events.

How to Buy the Best External Hard Drives

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

The technology moves fast and leaves us with gizmos and gadgets, which are more and more functional, and at the same time smaller than we have ever thought they could be. What’s more, the technology also adds these gadgets the mobility so that they can be used as and when required, wherever they are required. The external hard drives or HDD are built to perform externally. This means that the HDD comes with built-in cables that allow you to interface with your computer system. While the conventional HDD connectors would use SCSI or SATA cables that connect to a type of HDD connector inside your computer, the new variants of this external HDD uses an innovative and simple method of connecting via the USB or the FireWire. Most of the external HDD come with the ability to backup the data from your PC. The only limiting factor for the HDD as on today is the cost, as they tend to be more expensive as compared to the internal HDD with the same capacity. These devices are purely meant for data storage and backup but how much data can it store? There are many options available for you as far as the data storage capability of this device is concerned. Usually, the most common drives are of the same size as a normal hard disk inside your computer. Thus the external hard drives are often used in the business world, especially by traveling employees. Traveling employees can instantly sync up the data on an external hard drive with that on their desktop or laptop PC, and then easily carry that data anywhere in the world. This also might eliminate the need of carrying the laptop.

Are You Securing with Your Browser?

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Security is a big issue when it comes to the Internet. With so many spyware and malware threats that can attack our computer at any time, it is important to have good protection and have your browser updated. Many PC users have not had their PC infected for many years. That is usually because they took some precautions. Personally, I make sure that I have an up-to-date Firewall that works perfectly well, in order to block any unauthorized access. I also make sure that I am using a safe browser such as Firefox.

Many believe that Firefox users are the safest users on the Internet when it comes to spyware and malware threats. I am glad that this is the case. Firefox with proper plugins installed by default blocks all scripts of new pages that a user encounters for the first time. If a user wants to allow scripts, he can simply press a button. On the other hand, a user will probably not allow scripts of websites that he does not trust yet.

I also want to say that staying up to date when it comes to your browser updates will minimize the risk of your computer being infected. You may also want to get familiar with any changes that the updates bring to your browser in order to understand whether they affect your security.

2. Another way to participate is to follow some additional steps. Those steps include publishing a post on your blog with a link to the post of the contest organizer as well as links to other participants. In your post you should explain the rules of the link exchange. Other bloggers will in exchange link to your own post. The best part about it is that everyone involved will benefit in some way.

There are many bloggers who participate in such programs. If you would like to exchange links with them simply visit their websites. You can find their websites by doing a search for link exchanges on Google. I would also like to encourage you to organize such link exchanges on your own.
